Each area meeting may make two nominations from its membership for appointment to Meeting for Sufferings (4.17). Additional nominations may be made by larger area meetings in accordance with a schedule approved by the Yearly Meeting one year before each triennial appointment (7.05.a), modified as necessary by interim decisions necessitated by the division or amalgamation of area meetings. The schedule shall provide for one additional representative for every 300 members or part thereof in excess of 300.
