Oaths and affirmation

Scotland

In Scotland there is a long tradition of affirmation, so there has not been the same need for a distinctive Quaker witness as in England & Wales. The information and advice given in 20.51 is equally valid in Scotland. The Oaths Act 1978 applies in Scotland as well as in England & Wales.
