It is a requirement of legislation governing charitable status that all funds belonging to Britain Yearly Meeting and its constituent meetings, whether held locally or centrally, must be used exclusively to further its charitable purposes. Friends as individuals can contribute to other causes and such contributions can be given to a special collection arranged by a meeting, but there should be no contribution from the funds of the meeting itself.
